Corrugated Memory Straws
Corrugated Memory Drinking Straws manufactured by SELA are made of a very high quality FDA grade PP of North American origin in our York SC, USA facility. SELA’s corrugated memory straws are rigid, and the memory section is 2” long. This memory section bends easily and stays bent in the desired position, and can be straightened or collapsed.
Material Type:
- LDPE (Low Density Polyethylene) is a fairly soft plastic with good tactile feel and is very tough. It will stretch somewhat before breaking and edges will be soft so that safety is not a concern. The grade selected by SELA for our corrugated straws is FDA grade and will not kink if bent into a U shape holding each end and bringing together, on straw lengths of 11” and longer. If the straw is collapsed in center instead of bending into a U, it will kink.
For Memory section corrugated straws:
- PP (Polypropylene) is used by SELA to manufacture memory section straws which allows for the memory to stay bent in desired shape, straightened, or used in accordion manner. This PP is very tough and durable.
